[Highlight Tape] Darnell "Tex" Evans

 

Darnell Evans is a 6,3" combo guard.
He is originally from Texas; Denton by way of Waco to be specific. He moved to the DMV area midway through his 8th grade year and played high school ball in Largo, MD where he scored 18ppg his Sr year. He went on to play one year of prep school ball at Maine Central Institute before committing to St Francis (PA) where he struggled with nagging foot and ankle injuries and saw limited action at the PG position. After two years, Evans moved on to Queens University of Charlotte where he was voted 1st Team All-Conference in 2007-2008 after averaging 17 ppg 5 rpg and 2spg. "Tex" played for the Metropolitan All-Stars of the Eastern Basketball Alliance where he led his team to a league championship. His success in the EBA allowed him to play professionally overseas in Peru. Here is a highlight video of his 2012 season in the Liga De Lima.
