[Video] @Zillaman - Yeah Doe ft @DorroughMusic @BHamp @ThaBigTuck

I like the wax museum theme. That was a cool touch. It's good to see Tum & Tuck making records together again. They are Dallas rap legends. Dorrough is certified as a hit-maker. Anyone who throws shade his way is hating. He's undeniable after "Ice Cream Paint Job". That broke outside the region. B Hamp may seem like an odd fit to some people but he's a had a string of club hits aside from "Ricky Bobby", which was huge, and his work ethic is crazy. I like this record. It's good for the city.

[Music/Video] B. Hardy - Killer Dude

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012
B. Hardy is Back: New single "Killer Dude" Marks B. Hardy's Return to Dallas' Hip Hop Scene

DALLAS — After a two-year hiatus, B. Hardy (also known as the infamous RapBot-5000 of Throwaway Rhymes fame) is back with the new single titled "Killer Dude."
The single, produced by Trifecka, is fast-paced for a twisted good time. "Killer Dude" delivers triumphantly as the perfect introduction to upcoming album Psycho. "Killer Dude" entertains listeners with an effortless mix of unapologetic bravado and keen intelligence, dipped in dope lyrics and wrapped in dark humor--all in true B. Hardy fashion.

"I want people to hear the single and say they had a good time listening to the record, even though they've just finished listening to four minutes of murder," says B. Hardy. And the accompanying video—an excellent nod to grainy-yet-vicious vintage slasher films directed by Ronnie West— follows suit.

Fully recovered from vocal chord surgery, "Killer Dude" is B. Hardy's way of prepping us for his awaited return to the Dallas music scene. The single signals the upcoming album Psycho, to be released early 2013. Lame lyricists beware: B. Hardy is after you, and he's a killer, dude.

[Mixtape] @DaHitman - Slap That Mix V.12

Inline image 2

Core DJ Da' Hitman returns from a long hiatus while on the grind to deliver a new episode of his Slap That Mix mixtape series with Volume 12, featuring music from indies and majors ranging from coast to coast. Da' Hitman provides a look behind the scenes and provides details on some of ingredients in the mix this time around, revealing the depths he goes when twisting a mixtape and the imagination behind his Unique Styles.

01 Da’ Hitman - Jumpoff

Chops include: Kashmere Stage Band’s “Thunder Soul”, Run DMC (Peter Piper), NWA, Travis Porter, Just Ice, Kanye West, Mountain (Long Red), Art of Noise (Beat Box), Jeremih, Dazz Band (Joystick), Lynn Collins (Think), Sly and The Family Stone (Sing a Simple Song), drum fills from Fancy (Feel Good), and a drum fill from Led Zeppelin (Moby Dick), Midnight Star (Curious), Zapp and Roger (So Rough So Tough), Marva Whitney (Unwind Yourself), Sly Johnson (Different Strokes). Final touch is Anita Baker’s “Angel” looped up over Kendrick Lamar’s “Backstreet Freestyle” break

02 Kendrick Lamar - Backstreet Freestyle

Listen close for the twist of Al B Sure’s “Naturally Mine” in the transition to Folkz with a little help from Rick Ross

03 Folkz - Renee Zellweger
04 Da’ Hitman - Best DJ

Shyne’s “BG” beat rides out of Folkz with a grip of chops from Big Daddy Kane, NVS, Dorrough, etc leading into Main Ingredient’s “Summer Breeze” underneath classic Run DMC chops from “Jam Master Jay”

05 SCOE - They Ain’t Ready
06 T Pain ft Skye - Down There
07 Da’ Hitman - Lessons in Crate Diggin

Eddie Bo “Lover and a Friend” break underneath Gerald Walker Organs/Horns from “Live It Up” and a piano hit from “WAL” with chops from Stevie Wonder, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Ultramagnetic MCs, LL Cool J…the flutes and the congo are from Baby Huey records and the classic Isaac Hayes piano is from “Ikes Mood Part 1”. Breaks away with Audio Two over an old UMC’s beat

08 T Pain ft Mr Fab, Krizz Kaliko, and Tech N9ne - Blapper
09 Poo Bear – Alone
10 AK Prime – I Be (Throwin It Back)
11 Phyzikal - Real Niggaz Get Money
12 Billy Blue ft Plies - You Gone Make It
13 Kendrick Lamar ft Dr Dre -The Recipe
14 Kingpen Slim ft No Malice & Lamar Starzz - My Specialty

Had to add the Run DMC “My” from “My Adidas” to fill in the gaps – jut sounded like it belonged there the whole time. I got to play with the Lex Luger drum kits and you can really hear em in the mix between “My Specialty” and “Don’t You Quit”, but they’re all over the place in this mixtape.

15 T Pain - Don’t You Quit
16 Kendrick Lamar ft Drake - Poetic Justice
17 Machine Gun Kelly ft Bun B and Dubo - What I Do
18 JS - Dreamin
19 Da’ Hitman - The DJ’s Interlude

Chops include: Kashmere Stage Band, The Meters (Just Kissed My Baby), Chris Brown (Till I Die), Phantom of the Opera (Think of Me), King Curtis (The Weight), Tyler Woods, Kevin Black, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Biz Markie, Lynn Collins, James Brown (Give It Up or Turn It Loose), Howlin Wolf, Nirvana (Smells Like Teen Spirit and The Man Who Sold The World), Herman Kelly “Dance to the Drummers Beat). Last chop is from the Z-3 MCs “Triple Threat”

20 Bobby V ft K Michelle - Put It In

Gap Pulls Racially Insensitive Shirt

"Goddamn, Uncle Sam sold us on the biggest scam ever known unto man as we conquered native land. Manifest Destiny. We do the best that we can to commit our own undoin', coveting delusion."
-Wreck-A-Mic
So Gap teamed up with GQ to showcase Amerikkka's best new designers and this is what they came up with? First of all, I'm going to need "fashion designer" to stop writing words on t-shirts and calling it fashion.
Secondly, your middle school teacher lied to you about what "manifest destiny" was all about.

The term was coined in 1845 by John O'Sullivan, a newspaper editor at the Democratic Review, who wrote that the United states should annex Texas and claim the Oregon Country because "that claim is by the right of our manifest destiny to overspread and to possess the whole of the continent which Providence has given us for the development of the great experiment of liberty and federated self-government entrusted to us." It also was used to justify the idea that people with darker skin were "heathen," "backwards," and otherwise less than human.

Here is a link to the petition demanding a formal apology and a stop on all sales
http://www.change.org/petitions/gap-discontinue-the-manifest-destiny-tshirt-and-issue-a-formal-apology

The shirt has already been taken off of their online stores.

Old Navy And The Epic Houston Texans T-Shirt Fail

The Dallas Texans of the AFL were not in the playoffs in 1961. They beat the Houston Oilers the following year to win the 1962 AFL championship. The AFC did not exist until the AFL-NFL merger of 1970.
The Houston Texans formed as a team in 2002. OOPS! Looks like Old Navy doesn't know their American football history. Somewhere Bum Phillips is rolling in his grave.

[Trailer] C.O.P. - Crimes Of Police: A Documentary On Police Brutality by @ZarTheDip

The murder of Ernest Duenez Jr, by Manteca, CA Police Officer John Moody and his families calls for justice and accountability along with other families to be profiled in film C.O.P. CRIMES OF POLICE.

C.O.P (Crimes Of Police) is an independant Documentary film project directed by upcoming film maker Ansar El Muhammad (Zar the Dip). The film presents an historical look at Police Brutality and corruption and  covers in great detail high profile Police Brutality Cases from across the nation. The film however hinges on 4 or 5 local cases from Northern California which is where the  film maker is from. The film is produced by Undabozz Films.  The film maker decided to take on this project after attending a funeral of a friend killed by police and was inspired to lend his talents toward giving a voice to the families of victims of police brutality from the area he lives and has grown up in. The Film Maker conducted hours upon hours of interviews in the field, attended, recorded funerals, protests and rallies on behalf of some of the victims, and did extensive research on the cases covered. The film is dedicated to an older friend of the film maker , Patrick Lewis, who was killed by a police officer in San Mateo California  in the mid 80's and Bobby Hutton the first black panther party member that was murdered by Oakland  police in 1968, Bobby hutton was 17 years old. The film is slated to be released in December of 2012, several local screenings are scheduled and the filmaker hopes to get the film into various film festivals as well.
